Modernization of human resources management
The human capital management platform, SAP SuccessFactors, was chosen as the basis for the digital transformation project of Simoldes, the largest European company in the mold sector, present in 15 countries, with 9 plants and over 6,000 employees. The project, being implemented by Abaco Consulting as part of the ERP SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation, covers all aspects of the solution (employee lifecycle management, talent management, and payroll management) in the different countries of the group.
It was born from the need to improve the quality of the company’s HR data, standardize processes between the various geographies and ensure compliance with regulatory issues, as part of its IT strategy and investment in cloud solutions for decentralization and mobility. Portugal will be the reference model for the base solution that is being replicated in different countries, in stages until 2024. The solution is already used by more than 2,000 employees and the estimated benefits point to an improvement of about 80% in analysis and reporting capabilities, savings of 90% in the time spent on running reports and 25% in overall costs.
